Programme notes:

Traditional Norwegian bridal marches (bruremarsj) are historic folk melodies deeply rooted in regional traditions. They were often played by a fiddle to accompany the bride’s procession to the church. Bruremarsj fra Gudbrandsdalen, is a traditional folk wedding tune originating from Vågå in Gudbrandsdalen, and is arranged for 3 voices. This arrangement was made for Trio Mediaeval and is edited here for trumpets. It could be played by multiple players and as a processional or in situ.
